Rhode Island’s Historic Farm-Raised Pheasant Stocking Program Provides Hunters with Game
On the evening before Thanksgiving, 165 pheasants sit in a truck bed. They are destined for the Arcadia Management Area and Nicholas Farm Management Area, where they will be released in twos or fours to more than two dozen different patches of meadow. Hunters will be waiting for them in the morning.
