The Wood Pawcatuck Watershed Association is hosting a free open-house paddling event. Folks are invited to come down and use the association’s boats to explore the Wood River and learn more about the work WPWA does to preserve and protect the watershed. There will be two guided paddles: a family paddle at 2 p.m. and a birding/nature paddle at 4 p.m. There will also be children’s activities, a kayak raffle and a cookout for visitors.
