Indulge your curiosity and delve into the complexities of the natural world. Let the experts be your guide to the ecosystems, plants, animals, and fungi in Southern New England in this six-program series offered by Audubon Society of Rhode Island. Explore Audubon wildlife refuges with scientists and skilled naturalists who will provide both indoor lectures and outdoor investigations. Each session provides a new layer of insight, culminating in a solid base of knowledge for beginner naturalists. Resources, such as field guides, will be shared. All participants will receive a complimentary copy of “Rhode Island Birding Trails,” the Audubon Society of Rhode Island guide to over 60 places to bird watch in the Ocean State. Sessions are Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 16, Aug 23, Sept. 13, Sept. 20, Oct. 4, and Oct. 11. Deadline to register is Aug. 15. Cost is $300 for members and $350 for nonmembers.
