The Community Conversation Night is the culminating event of The Open Newsroom, a fellowship in which University of Rhode Island undergraduates assume the role of a local journalist and develop deeper understandings of science issues facing Rhode Island communities. The Open Newsroom is a partnership between RI NSF EPSCoR and URI’s Metcalf Institute. This event will offer members of the public an chance to view student portfolios. Students will be on hand to share their experiences in The Open Newsroom, and attendees will be able to envision how they can engage with science and research across Rhode Island.
