Join seasoned year-round farmers Mike and Kelli Roberts for a hands-on workshop on optimizing moveable high tunnels for year-round growing. The workshop will include discussion on planting dates, varieties, and other season extension tips they’ve learned from growing over 16 winter seasons with moveable tunnels. Participants will also have the option to assist in moving one of their 30-foot by 48-foot tunnels from its winter to spring plot by helping with unanchoring and re-anchoring ground posts, and using electric winches to pull the high tunnel to its new position. Participation is optional. The workshop will be followed by a social hour, please bring a snack or drink if you are able. This workshop is sponsored by the Northeast Farming Association of R.I.
