Free Soil Testing
Master gardeners from the University of Rhode Island will provide free soil testing. Participants should bring about 1 cup of dry soil to get it tested for pH and texture and provide recommendations for actions to improve it.
Native Pot-Up Volunteer Event
Join the Newport Tree Conservancy at its new greenhouse, The Minnie Cushing Coleman Tree Nursery, to help pot native trees that will soon take root in Miantonomi Park, Newport’s largest and most historic park.
