As South Kingstown proudly celebrates its 300th anniversary in 2023, it seems appropriate and timely to ask: What about the next 300 years? Join this community forum to learn about and seek solutions to three of the most urgent issues confronting South Kingstown today and in the years ahead: Composting and waste management; energy efficiency and the transition to renewable energy, and water conservation. This forum will combine brief presentations on these topics with small group discussions. Participants will generate, share, and document ideas and strategies towards tangible solutions at the individual and municipal level. The free event is hosted by members of the South Kingstown Sustainability Committee, Conservation Commission, Planning Board, and 300th Anniversary Planning Committee.
