Join the Rhode Island Environmental Educators Association for a Virtual Lunch & Learn about a series of Rhode Island-specific lesson units that engage high school students in classroom activities, outdoor experiences, and iPlan, a free, online game that dynamically models land-use scenarios and offers a unique opportunity for students to explore environmental and social challenges in their local communities using real land-use data through an interactive simulation. The lesson unit designers, Rachel Holbert, Jennifer Klein, and Lisa Maloney, will explore iPlan and the lessons that are available (for free) to teachers and nonformal educators. Virtual Lunch & Learns usually fall on the third Thursday of the month. Due to the Juneteenth holiday, this month’s program is on the Tuesday prior.
