Join Rhode Island Sea Grant for a walking tour of Oakland Beach in Warwick, and see the outcomes of a $1.7 million investment (and years of planning) to improve water quality and reduce flooding. The projects the city took on with assistance from Save The Bay, The Nature Conservancy, and others also enhanced accessibility and added amenities like a playground with splash pad, rec path, and more parking. Participants will walk from Oakland Beach to Sunset Beach to see and discuss some of these projects. The event is free but registration is required.
