Throughout the month of April, the Gallery at Central will present the paintings of artist Caroline Anderson. She is a founding member of “Climate Artists” – a climate crisis-focused collective of five artists from across the United States. Anderson’s paintings operate within the tension of “hypernormalization,” a concept that offers a framework for understanding how contemporary life continues to feel stable despite the presence of multiple, overlapping crises. Anderson will also hold a Gallery Talk at the church on April 19 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
