Celebrating National Secondhand Wardrobe Day, textile sustainability consultant Reed McLaren of The Sustainable Garment and Tapestry Home Interiors will team up with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rhode Island to present a clothing swap. McLaren will guide participants on sustainable clothing care practices and will be available to book personalized consultations. Participants may bring gently used articles of all seasons, and for all other items in the home that may be stained, worn out or otherwise no longer usable, participants can bag them up and donate for recycling. All remaining items will be collected by BBBS-RI at the end of the event to support the organization’s mission.
