The Burrillville Land Trust is celebrating its 25th anniversary with an ice cream social to thank the community for supporting the land trust’s efforts to save Sweet’s Hill. Mumsy’s Ice Cream truck will be giving out free ice cream while guests will enjoy face painting, a naturalist-led turtle talk, tours of the schoolhouse, beaver education chats, and a LEGO replica of the one-room schoolhouse by Andrew Grover. Guests can also meet Joy, a 22-year-old Gypsy Cob horse while learning how a conservation easement saved Pascoag’s one-room schoolhouse. This event is free and open to the public.
