Welcome spring to Newport on a tree tour with the Newport Tree Conservancy. Join living collections manager Joe Verstandig for a walk through the Queen Anne Square park and surrounding streets. Spring blooms, emerging leaves, and brightening conifers will be highlighted, as well as other signs of life after a cold, snowy winter. Verstandig will also discuss some of the propagation work that’s going on at NTC, and showcase some plants from the nursery that best represent Newport’s excellent horticulture. Please dress appropriately for walking through mud and grass.
