Frederick Stachura, a lawyer specializing in preservation and resource protection, and Marina Capraro, the USDA Easement Program Manager for R.I., will be the presenters at the educational program. Some of the topics to be covered include: how landowners are able to retain ownership with an easement; how eastments legally protect land in perpetuity; what is an agricultural easement; how long the process can take; and next steps for landowners who are interested.
