The Green Team at Peace Dale Congregational Church will present a program in celebration of Earth Day,“Empowering the Future: Youth-Led Environmental Innovation.” Kiersten Sundell, a junior at the University of Rhode Island, will be joined by leaders from the Student Action for Sustainability group to discuss student-led initiatives currently in progress on the URI campus. There is a need for increased environmental education on campus and in the local community, as well as a need for an environmentalist culture switch.
