Writing About Place: Workshop with Miles Hardingwood

This is the final workshop of the Writing About Place series — a four-week writing workshop exploring how landscape, memory, and ecology shape story and voice. This session will feature guest writer Miles Justice Hardingwood, a poet and creative from Brooklyn, N.Y. He is a 2023 National Student Poet and a 2022 NYC Youth Poet Laureate Ambassador. His work has received a Scholastic National Gold Medal and an American Voices Medal, and he has performed at venues including The White House, The Schomburg Center, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Nuyorican Poets Cafe, as well as at Vice President Kamala Harris’s Black History Month Celebration. He attended the Kenyon Young Writers Workshop and the Iowa Young Writers’ Studio, and is currently a student at Brown University, where he is pursuing a concentration in literary arts.
