Barbara Sullivan-Watts, Ph.D., will be the featured speaker at an informational presentation and open discussion, “Offshore Wind Energy is HERE! What are the Consequences from Plankton to People?” Sullivan-Watts, a senior marine research scientist, Emerita, at the University of Rhode Island Graduate School of Oceanography, will discuss the pros and cons of 127 offshore wind turbines that are sending energy to Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts. The presentation is free and open to the public.
