Rhode Island’s buildings emit almost 40% of the state’s greenhouse gases — emissions that must drop to zero by mid century to comply with state law and to help avoid the worst consequences of climate change. In this talk, Brown University professor Stephen Porder will discuss the opportunities and challenges facing homeowners and municipalities in achieving this goal. He will focus on practical, scalable solutions that are available now, and he will highlight several local examples that serve as models for an emissions-free future. This event is free and open to the public.
