Join the town of Westerly and the Green Infrastructure Center for the Westerly Tree Canopy open house at the Westerly Library Terrace Room to discuss opportunities and challenges to growing the town’s tree cover. Attendees will select their favorite strategies to optimize the potential for trees to reduce urban heat, manage flooding, and improve community health. Anyone who lives or works in Westerly is invited. Registration is encouraged. Wilcox Park superintendent Alan Peck will lead a free tour of the park immediately following the open house.
