Good Food Policy Day is Rhode Island Food Policy Council’s (RIFPC) annual celebration of the power of advocacy and a chance to make stakeholders’ voices heard. Gather to raise awareness about the food system issues RIFPC cares about, and speak directly to legislators about why the agenda RIFPC is championing matters. There will be a short speaking presentation and information tables hosted by council members advocating for legislation that supports urban and small farm success, healthy school meals, a tax credit for businesses that donate surplus food, and a statewide compost fund.
