Join the Rhode Island Environmental Education Association (RIEEA) for its 2024 Summit: Art for Eco-Literacy and Activism, presented by SouthCoast Wind. The summit’s keynote speaker is May Babcock, an interdisciplinary ecocentric artist who transforms sediment, seaweed, and excess plants into handmade paper, revealing the complexities of various waterways in New England. She has exhibited nationally and internationally at RISD Museum of Art, New Bedford Whaling Museum, National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute. View May’s work at maybabcock.com. The summit will also include: a full, hot breakfast with vegan and gluten-free options; small group discussions; networking opportunities, and raffles to support RIEEA’s programming.
