Please DO Eat the Daisies: The Comestible Virtues of Non-Native Weeds and Invasives of the Ocean State

What should we do with non-native weeds and invasives as we promote ecological restoration through the successful removal of invasives and replacing them with natives? The answer for many of them could be: eat them. Join local wild edibles enthusiast Russ Cohen, author of the book “Wild Plants I Have Known… and Eaten,” to learn about a number of the the tastiest non-native plant species lurking in plain sight in the Ocean State. Focus on responsible foraging, identification of plants, how to prepare them. There will be samples to try. Registration is required. Cost is $10 for RIWPS and $15 for non-members.
