Center Aquidneck is presenting the first annual Jane’s Walk Newport Festival at various sites and times throughout Newport. Jane’s Walk is an international movement of free, neighbor-led walking conversations inspired by 20th-century urbanist Jane Jacobs and carried out by curious and concerned communities around the world. On May 4th, join the first stop on the Rhode Island Episcopal Creation Care Watershed Pilgrimage to learn about and discuss the watershed challenges on Aquidneck Island. The walk around Easton’s Pond Reservoir will be led by Alex Chuman, conservation director at Aquidneck Land Trust; Emily Skeehan, resilience director at Episcopal Diocese of Rhode Island; and Rev. Norman MacLeod, Creation Care chair who is working to make the connection between faith, spirituality and environmental action.
