DESCRIPTION:Amy and Andrew Smith of The Local Patch will host a morning discussion of everything storage carrots. They’ll explain the step-by-step process\, from staling a seed bed\, successional seeding in July\, to irrigation\, weeding\, maintenance and a dig. After the carrots are out the of the ground\, the farmers will demonstrate the wash and prep process using their new barrel washer. Light fare will be provided. \n
