SUMMARY:Urban Wildlife Walks
DESCRIPTION:Greg Gerritt will lead three walks this spring\, all focused on urban wild animals in Providence. All of the walks are free of charge and will go from 9-10:30 a.m. The May 10 and June 6 walks will be at Blackstone Park and along the Seekonk River. Participants should meet at the Blackstone Park kiosk near the corner of Parkside and East Orchard at 9 a.m. The May 23 walk\, as part of Cemetery Month\, will focus on urban wildlife in the North Burial Ground. Participants should meet at 9 a.m. at Ridgeside Lake in the North Burial Ground. Registration for the walks are not required\, but it helps for planning purposes.

SUMMARY:Slow Birding
DESCRIPTION:The slow birding program invites participants to sit quietly and unplug\, while being surrounded by the beauty of Napatree Point Conservation Area. Join naturalists for peaceful observations\, journaling\, and wildlife viewing. Participants are encouraged to bring a foldable chair\, cozy blankets\, and a hot beverage. Binoculars and notebooks will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring a chair\, towel or blanket to sit on during the program. The group will meet at the beach entrance to the Napatree Point Conservation Area. This program is designed to last 60 minutes so participants can use the free parking along Bay Street. Rain will cancel this event. Program cancellations will be communicated via email.
