SUMMARY:Winter Vacation STEM Play Sessions - Free Science Days
DESCRIPTION:Looking for a fun way to keep curious kids busy during winter vacation? Come explore\, tinker\, and play at the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council’s indoor river classroom at Central Falls Landing. Families are invited to enjoy an hour of hands-on\, STEM-based fun\, where children and parents can dive into a variety of interactive\, science-inspired play stations designed to spark curiosity and creativity. These interactive play sessions are free to attend; however\, pre-registration is required and space is limited. Classes are one hour long and will include five STEM-based interactive stations. Class times are 9-10 a.m.\, 10:30-11:30 a.m.\, 12-1 p.m.\, and 1:30-2:30 p.m.

DESCRIPTION:The Westerly Land Trust is joining WildRoots for Wednesday Wonder Walks\, a guided family hiking series curated to spark curiosity and nurture a lifelong love of nature. Each session invites children and their families to slow down\, look closely\, and discover the magic of the natural world together. Every month features a new theme and a new Westerly Land Trust property\, giving young explorers the chance to get to know their local environment. February’s theme is Rhody Rocks and will be held at Dr. John Champlin Glacier Park. Through playful discovery\, gentle guidance\, and curiosity-driven exploration\, attendees will search for stones\, glacial erratics\, and other rocky clues that reveal how glaciers once shaped Rhode Island’s landscape.
