SUMMARY:Forests in a Changing Climate: Impacts on Trees and Ecosystems
DESCRIPTION:Join Dr. Ali Kosiba\, forest ecophysiologist and extension assistant professor of forestry at the University of Vermont\, for a talk on how climate change is reshaping our forests. How are climate-driven shifts already underway\, from warmer winters to more frequent extreme weather\, affecting tree physiology\, health\, and survival? What do these tree-level impacts mean in terms of broader forest ecosystem responses\, including carbon storage\, wildlife habitat\, and long-term forest resilience? The event is free and open to the public.
