SUMMARY:Free Community Shred Day at Washington Trust
DESCRIPTION:Join us at our Community Shred Days taking place at the dates and locations: Saturday\, Oct. 5\, 10 a.m. – noon at Washington Trust\, 330 Newport Ave.\, Rumford\, R.I.\, and Our Lady of Mercy School\, 55 4th Ave.\, East Greenwich\, R.I. \n\nSaturday\, Oct. 26\, 10 a.m. – noon at Washington Trust\, 14 Clara Drive\, Mystic\, Conn.\, and Washington Trust\, 236 Centerville Road\, Warwick\, R.I. \nBring old bank statements\, tax documents and any other old documents that contain your personal or financial information to be shredded. We can also accept DVDs\, CDs\, cassette tapes\, and floppy discs that have been removed from their case. No items containing heavy metal are accepted at Shred Day events; we don’t accept batteries\, cell phones or hard drives. \nIn order to accommodate as many people as possible\, we ask that you bring a maximum of two boxes of documents to shred. Please be prepared for staff to dump your documents into Shred-It bins\, and then return your boxes back to you. \nGuests are also encouraged to bring a donation of a nonperishable food item to benefit local food bank agencies ahead of the holidays.

DESCRIPTION:Green Energy Consumers\, Ocean State Clean Cities\, and the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management present the annual Drive Green at the Park event. Enjoy a day of electric car test drives and chat with experienced electric car drivers. This is a family-fun event that will also include face painting\, a trunk-or-treat\, and lawn games. There will be cars for test-driving from participating car dealerships. If you wish to test-drive\, you will have to bring your license and sign a waiver at the time of the event at the registration booth. Test-drive slots typically last 15 minutes. EV owners are more than welcome to join us. We will have a car show comprising of EV enthusiast cars. These cars are not available for test drive but can participate in the trunk-or-treat. Candy will be provided\, and some decorations will be provided. No need to RSVP. Just drop by.

DESCRIPTION:This fun-filled\, free kid-centered event is open to people of all ages and riding abilities. We will go for a leisurely four-mile group bike ride\, starting and ending at Conlan Park\, and stopping at two local parks along the route to dance and play. In advance of the city’s upcoming extension of the 6/10 path to the Cranston line for safer pedestrian and bike access\, this family party on wheels will tour the streets of the West End and the Washington Secondary Path.
