The Rhode Island Tree Farm Program is conducting its annual Fall Tour along the woodland trails of the Angell Tree Farm. In addition to the walk in the woods of the Angell property, which abuts the Scituate Reservoir and is protected by a conservation easement, the RI Tree Farm Program will be presenting its annual Outstanding Tree Farm of the Year Award to a local woodlot owner. We will also be presenting some 25- and 50-year anniversary Tree Farms with special roadside signs recognizing these Tree Farmers for their long-term commitment to conserving and improving RI’s forested lands. The event is free and open to the public, and registration is not required. The event will be held rain or shine. Proper footwear and appropriate dress for the weather are required.
