SUMMARY:Rhode Island Trash Trek
DESCRIPTION:Join The Providence Eye and co-sponsors ecoRI News and Climate Action Rhode Island for a trek to Johnston\, the site of Rhode Island’s only landfill — estimated to reach capacity in the next 20 years. This trip out to Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation will be an illuminating (and maybe a little stinky) experience for those interested in seeing what happens to their trash after it’s taken away by the garbage truck. The cost to attend is $5. Ticket cost include bus transportation to the Johnston site. This tour is not recommended for small children\, as it will require prolonged time on a bus.
