As the world’s ecology is networked, so should efforts to conserve it. Discover how the Rhode Island Plant Insect Community Network, a collaboration of multiple organizations dedicated to the pollinators and other beneficial species across our state, will do just that. The Rhode Island Natural History Survey will introduce this initiative. Network members, including the Rhode Island Wild Plant Society, University of Rhode Island Bee Lab and Master Gardeners, Providence College’s Providence Pollinator Lab, Roger Williams Park Zoo, and Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management will offer rapid-fire updates about their projects. In addition, Beth Alaimo and Brad Cheever from Ocean Hour Farm in Newport, R.I., will deliver a keynote talk.
