Hawk and Handsaw Farm is a small-market farm located in Portsmouth, R.I, that grows assorted vegetables, edible flowers, and medicinal herbs. During this tour visitors will hear about the history of the farm and the conservation practices they utilize to help the environment. Hawk and Handsaw Farm partners with the Eastern Rhode Island Conservation District (ERICD) and the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) to follow climate-smart conservation practices. This free tour is open to anyone interested in touring a working small-scale farm business, farmers or landowners who are interested in installing environmentally-smart practices, and community members who are interested in sustainable agriculture.
