Nearly 70% of Rhode Island voters approved a bond referendum in November for agriculture land preservation, the state’s open space program, and forests and habitat management. The Burrillville Land Trust will hold a workshop to explain how the voter approved funds can benefit you as a landowner. Paul Roselli, president of the Burrillville Land Trust, will talk about the land trust and some of the recent land trust acquisitions. Attorney Marc Gertsacov will discuss how your property can be protected, either through an acquisition or with a conservation easement. Marc Tremblay, independent forest consultant with Land Management Services will talk about how a forest management plan can help with applying for open space funds and reducing your taxes with the Farm, Forest and Open Space Act. The public is invited. No registration is required.
